Description: Introduction to 3-dimensional sculpture and design using studio production, problem solving, critical dialog, and an overview of 20th century design and sculpture history.

Description: Individual work in stone, wood, or terra cotta, with instruction in stone cutting, wood carving, armature building and casting. Start professional development through artists statement, portfolio documentation, and exhibition proposals.
This course is a prerequisite for: SCLP 312
Prerequisites: SCLP 311, or permission.
Description: Continuation of individual artwork research and development. Continuation of professional development through artists statement, portfolio documentation, CV creation, grant writing, and exhibition proposals.
This course is a prerequisite for: SCLP 411
Prerequisites: SCLP 312, or permission.
Description: Sculpture in various traditional and contemporary media; emphasis on increasingly mature expression and treatment; special techniques and advanced constructions. Explorations of emerging practices in contemporary sculpture and public art. Professional development now includes public presentations.
This course is a prerequisite for: SCLP 412
Prerequisites: SCLP 411, or permission.
Description: Development of a cohesive body of contemporary sculpture, and portfolio refinement.

Prerequisites: Senior standing, co-register with ARTP 400 Capstone Art Experience; and permission
Should be taken during the final semester of the BA or BFA in art. If the final semester is summer, then course should be taken during the preceding spring semester.
Description: Culminating experience in Area of Emphasis to produce work for the Capstone Art Exhibition.
