Architectural Engineering (MS)

The Master of Science (M.S.) program is offered in architectural engineering through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and based in Omaha, Nebraska, 50 miles northeast of Lincoln, at the Peter Kiewit Institute of Information Science, Technology, and Engineering (PKI).

Description

M.S. AE study will provide research experience and depth of knowledge in one of these architectural engineering specialized areas:

  • Building acoustical systems
  • Building electrical systems
  • Building lighting systems
  • Building mechanical systems
  • Building structural systems
  • Integration of these systems
  • Smart buildings

There are several professional societies and student groups on campus that AE students participate in, including:

  • Acoustical Society of America (ASA), University of Nebraska Student Branch
  • Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI), University of Nebraska Student Branch
  • American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Student Chapter

  • Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) of North America
