Prerequisites: SOCW 332; Admission to the BSSW Program.

For social work students, the course meets the minority or social work elective requirement.

Description: Develops students' awareness, familiarity and understanding of some of the social conditions and cultural traits of the Hispanic community, with special emphasis on Mexican-Americans. This course will be the foundation for the adaptation of the social worker's practice to meet the needs of this ethnic community.
